Come Steelhead Fishing with us and Stay in our Cozy Lodge with Views of the Stunning Sawtooths
Salmon river steelhead steelhead make the 900- mile journey to and from the Pacific Ocean. They are born in the pristine headwaters of the Salmon river, travel down the Snake and Columbia Rivers to the ocean, where they spend up to three years before returning to the place of their birth to spawn. It is the longest run for anadromous fish in North America if not the world.
We are lucky to get to fish for these magnificent creatures. Let us introduce you to steelehaed fishing!
For over 15 years we have operated a full- service steelhead lodge in the Stanley Basin. From home cooked meals, to the cozy cabin, the awe-inspiring views of the Sawtooth Mountains, to catching a steelhead on the fly, this adventure will make you want to return year after year.
Our steelhead lodge opens around the middle of March. Steelhead season closes at the end of April, but once the steelhead go to gravel to spawn, we stop fishing for them. We want these amazing fish to reap the benefit of their arduous journey, and we leave them alone.
Our cabin sleeps 8 people or three couples. It is wise to book your overnight stay with ample notice. We also offer day fishing trips with a home cooked lunch at the lodge. This adventure is enjoyable for novices and experts alike.
